Mendham, NJ (PRWEB) October 19, 2011

Project Management Training Online ? pmtrainingonline.com – announced today that it is providing updated PMP Exam Prep Training for professionals who want to earn their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. The training has been updated to reflect changes in the exam that commenced on September 1, 2011, and updated exam simulations actually became available over the summer. Project Management Training Online provides one of the most extensive offerings of online business training courses, including an extensive professional foundation skills curricula, on the internet.

According to John Reiling, President of Project Management Training Online, ?We are pleased to provide this update to our PMP exam prep product line. Our goal is to always provide the latest and greatest in training to our clients, and although this is not a major update, it was necessary to help clients get some practice with the new exam format. Professionals, as always, can rest assured that they have the latest in PMP exam prep materials so that there are no surprises on exam day.?

Consistent with its mission of providing the best selection of time and cost effective training for project managers and related business professionals, Project Management Training Online has ensured that PMP certification candidates have the latest training. The change in the exam amounted to rearranging the way the ethics training is tested. Instead of being tested as its own domain, ethics questions are now blended seamlessly into questions for the various other domains. The PMI made this change to the PMP exam format based on its role Delineation Study (RDS), which determined that ethics touched every aspect of a project manager?s job, and thus should be tested accordingly. It thus eliminated testing ethics as a separate domain. The change does not effect the fundamental basis of the exam, which is based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Fourth Edition.

More information about the contents of this new offering can be found on the PMP Exam Prep page at Project Management Training Online.

Project Management Training Online – pmtrainingonline.com – provides one of the most extensive offerings of online business skills training on the web, including focus on online professional skills training. In addition to leadership, project management, human resources, business analysis, and ITIL certification training, pmtrainingonline.com also provides hundreds of online business skills courses where professionals can rapidly and conveniently expand their skills in a variety of areas and earn Professional Development Units (PDUs). Numerous timely updates have occurred to virtually all of this business certification training, now including the September 1, 2011 PMP exam prep training!

One of the most frequent questions I receive as a financial advisor is, “How can I earn more money when I don’t have the time to take on a second job?” Then there are others with lots of time on their hands, like the college graduate who can’t get a job, or the worker who’s been laid off, who will ask how they can find viable ways to generate income.

There is a remarkable money-making opportunity that’s open to practically everyone – young or old, university-educated or high-school dropout – which doesn’t require huge amounts of start-up capital or specialized knowledge to succeed. What is needed to take advantage of this new age money-maker is a little creativity and the determination to learn the tricks of the trade.

This opportunity is called Internet marketing.

I recently attended Peak Potentials’ The World’s Greatest Marketing Seminar, where participants were exposed to cutting-edge techniques of marketing. Speaker after speaker showed how making money on the Internet was more accessible than ever before to anyone, anywhere, in the world that wanted to take advantage of it. We heard tales of people who were earning thousands of dollars monthly, weekly and even daily by marketing products and services online.

To make your mark on the Internet you have to take advantage of most or all of the various mediums of presenting your product or service to the world. Here are a few of the possible things you can do:

1. Make a simple and useful website

If you have a product or service for sale, then you need to have a presence online. Don’t limit yourself to what you may think the Jamaican market can handle- there’s millions of people out there in cyberspace who may want what you have to offer. You don’t have to spend a lot of money making it high-tech or fancy, just present the bare essentials of what you do and how it can solve someone’s problems. The next step is to utilize some of the many techniques of driving interested consumers to your webpage.

2. Express yourself by starting a blog

According to www.answers.com, a blog is short for web log, an online, regularly updated journal or newsletter that is readily accessible to the general public by virtue of being posted on a website. Blogs usually report on topics of interest to the author, but readers can also post their comments. A blog can help you to promote your product or service by containing a link to your website, and by allowing you to establish yourself as an expert in your field. You can start a blog in minutes free of charge by going to a blog publishing site like WordPress or Blogger.

3. Let your voice be heard with podcasting

Many people react with more emotion to the sound of a voice than just to words on a paper. To get your message to stand out from the crowd, you can create a recording called a podcast that people can listen to on your site or play back on a portable media player. The term was derived from combining broadcast and iPod (the Apple brand of the media player). Podcasts allow to you to continually reach your audience whenever you update your content.

4. Put your best face forward with online video

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then video broadcasting is the whole book. Think of how successful you could be if you could speak directly to lots of people about the benefits of your product or service. Video podcasting can be done on your site, or you can post something related to your offering on a website such as YouTube which is viewed by millions. For example if you sold natural hair care products could post a video demonstrating hair care tips.

Now many of you might be thinking that online marketing is only for computer geeks and ‘techies’ who are very familiar with the workings of the Internet. This is definitely not the case, because how-to information is available to anyone who searches for it online. There is also a level playing field as you can have access to millions of people who may be interested in what you have to say, or to sell.

The following is an example of an unlikely Internet marketing success story: A 90-year-old great-grandmother in Australia was bored with retirement and wanted a way to share her love of quilting with the rest of the world. She received some basic Internet training and learned how to publish an E-book on quilting. She now earns over US,000 monthly selling her E-books online and has thousands of devoted subscribers to her site.

If a ninety-year old retiree can make money on the Internet, don’t you think you could too?

Dr. Seuss, aka Ted Giesel, celebrated his birthday on March 2. Educators are celebrating ‘Read Across America’ Dr. Seuss week from March 1-March 5. Here are lesson plans for preschool and younger elememtary school teachers and homeschooler to bring Dr. Seuss into the classroom. I’m an advocate of learning centers in the early grades, so these lessons explore Dr. Seuss books within the learning centers. This article focuses on bringing Dr. Seuss into the dramatic play center, science center and practical life center.

Dr. Seuss in Dramatic Play or Dress Up center: Set out animal masks to represent Dr. Seuss characters, Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose, Horton the Elephant, Yertle the Turtle, Maisie the Bird, The Wickersham monkeys, the Kangaroo. Include copies of these Dr. Seuss stories for children to act out. You might also put out silly costume accessories for children to simulate whimisical Who-ville costumes.

Dr. Seuss in the Science Center: Set out a copy of The Lorax, which deals with environmentalism. Set up an experiment on decomposition and pollution. Place different pieces of trash in zippered bags with a little water. Monitor them over time to show students how slowly trash decomposes. Students could also tend ‘trufulla seeds’ (use any flower seeds, like cosmos or daisy) to learn what helps and what harms them. Also in the science center, you can make Oobleck (click here for recipes).

Dr. Seuss in the Practical Life Area: Set out the books The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham and Horton Hears a Who. These books deal with caring for others, food and house-cleaning.

San Antonio, TX; – Country Home Learning Center, with locations in both San Antonio and Austin, TX, is proud to announce that they are phasing in a recycling program that will include: paper, cardboard, glass, aluminum and plastic.

This recycling program will add to the green efforts already in place at Country Home Learning Center.

Country Home Learning Center currently has a number of green and healthy efforts in place to ensure the health and well being of students such as, utilizing a privately-available pest control service that uses organic, chemical-free pesticides.

Country Home minimizes exposure to harmful chemicals in a variety of ways including: thoroughly washing all fruits and vegetables before serving, using bio-degradable cleaners, using non-toxic art supplies approved by the Art and Creative Materials Institute, avoiding mercury exposure by utilizing digital thermometers, and by avoiding toys made out of soft-plastic vinyl which can sometimes contain harmful PVC’s.

Country Home Learning Center prides itself on providing a healthy environment for their students and part of this effort is the use of a digital humidity monitor to help avoid excess moisture, which contributes to the growth of mold and mildew.

Playground equipment made of treated wood is regularly sealed with a polyurethane coating. Country Home Learning Center does not (and has never) permitted smoking anywhere on our campus, or in the sight of children; the healthiest environment for a child is smoke-free.

As part of their eco-friendly effort, Country Home Learning Center has vowed to only use low-VOC commercial paints and is also in the process of converting mercury-containing thermostats to digital thermostats. Country Home Learning Center has also recently placed a new sign at the front door asks that parents not idle their vehicles in designated parking areas in order to cut down on toxic emissions.

Country Home Learning Center has provided parents with a number of eco-friendly tips so that they may join the effort of going green at home. Country Home Learning Center is also encouraging parents to get the children involved by letting them help to sort recyclable materials.

About Country Home Learning Center

You’ve probably seen the ads online about learning forex trading and making thousands monthly only to be discouraged by the monthly membership fees or the inflated prices of the software, ebooks or courses.

Maybe you have thought about learning forex before but you didn’t have time for the classes and seminars, workbooks and workshops in foreign exchange trading. Perhaps the price was prohibitive. Foreign exchange classes can be costly and time consuming.

Education is very important for an individual. In recent times, government has raised the banner high to spread education, even to remotest areas of the county. There are many educational books and magazines, which discuss various courses available for the youth and prospective career options. Even the internet is full of education articles and news regarding various courses available and the esteemed colleges that provide these courses. With the change in educational structure, new methods of imparting education have barged in. it had been noticed that students who are financially unstable or have prior things to complete cannot attend regular classes and therefore miss on receiving education. Government has started distance-learning programmes for such students making their life easier.

Our government is very supportive in spreading awareness regarding education and conducting various seminars and meetings which discuss the use of education.

In these seminars, professionals of different fields read out education articles and how best education can be received. There are so many career counselors and institutes, which guide the students regarding career options to opt for that there, is no scope for students to go wrong. Education has spread out from the four -wall classrooms and has become a much bigger and dynamic structure. The days of rote learning are long gone. These are days of smart classes where students are taught through computerized mediums and are open and friendly with their teachers. Even in school level, students are taught about education news and achievements in the field of education so that they find it easier to choose a career later in life.

One of the major achievements in the education system is the introduction of distance learning courses. Distance learning courses are a blessing for all those who had to give up education to fulfill prior commitments. Many students have to do jobs in order to support their families others have some other problem and they cannot attend regular classes. Due to distance learning courses, they can now, enroll themselves in courses of their choice and attend weekend classes or just appear for the exams.

One needs to have the habit of reading articles about distance education or listening to education news in order to be updated with the educational field. One cannot achieve anything without efforts, even a student studying a distance-learning course has to put in same efforts as the student attending regular classes. There is no short cut to success.

Distance education is a medium of education in which the tutors and the students are located geographically apart. There are many motivations for creating a distance education program. First and foremost is the credibility and stature of the faculty available locally. This is the bottomline reason for creating such a program. If a student or a group of students increasingly feel that the intelligentsia available in their country or region does not satisfy their benchmarks for quality education, then, they start looking for a finer, exceptional and acceptable faculty outside their own living place without leaving their own geographical region physically. This has the added benefit of a low cost as compared to moving out physically to acquire education. Such a system is increasingly being aided by modern era technologies which enable constant communication between the teaching parties and the candidates being taught.

The pioneer of this kind of education system was the University of London, which started its External Degree Programs in 1858, now known as the University of London International Programs. In this program, students register for a course of their choice and are sent the guides or course outline to be followed every year as long as they enroll for a course. The candidates are then tested for their competence once a year with examinations being conducted by the British Council.

Since technology is extensively being used for distance learning, this concept is now taking a new turn: E-Learning. In this mode, students take their lectures online via multimedia devices and submit their assignments accordingly.

There are two types of technologies being used for distance learning. One is known as synchronous and the other, asynchronous. In synchronous technology, the presence of all participants during the learning session is mandatory. An example would be video conferencing. On the other hand, in asynchronous technology, the presence of all participants at the same time is not required. Examples would be email, audiocassette and message board forums.

Distance education is sprouting due to the extensive availability of technology and the demand for low-cost, high-quality education.

Even if you are a college graduate, you can still improve yourself by distance learning in many areas including business, finance and so on.

Pros and cons of distance education

Education makes a man complete and perfect. It helps him to update his knowledge and keeps him abreast of the current trends of the world.

Education is a systematic process of learning and a methodical way of imparting knowledge among human beings. As civilization advanced, the methods and the modes of learning, the teaching aids and tools for imparting education have also got multiplied by leaps and bounds.

When we consider the ways or modes of learning, generally we follow these methods:-

1) We join an educational institution in a particular course or study, listening to the periodic lectures given by the faculty members and take up the examination at the end of the prescribed study period. We pursue the course either as a resident student or a day scholar.

2) We join an educational institution on a distance education mode, study their lessons dispatched to us by post, complete their assignments and tests and send them for correction by the faculty members through post. We also attend seminars conducted periodically by such institutions in the course of our study.

3) Of late, we have also online educational programmes with a prescribed study material and period of study and western countries in particular offer a lot of on line study programmes.

Now we have to confine ourselves in this essay about the pros and cons of distance education programmes. The distance education programmes though are considered inferior when we compare them with regular course of study, still they have their own advantages and disadvantages as follows:-

Pros:-

1)The distance education programme is more convenient to an employed person, who can spare his own available time for reading the study materials supplied to him. Again, depending upon his mood he can choose and fix his own hours of study and either study or simply skip his study materials and there is no compulsion on him to do a particular work of study within a prescribed time limit.

2)In a distance mode of education, the rules and regulations of joining a course are somewhat very liberal comparing with a regular course of study. For example to pursue a masters programme in law in a regular law college or University, minimum qualifying percentage of marks is fixed at 50 %.Whereas, in a distance learning programme, the minimum percentage of marks to pursue a masters degree in law has been fixed as ‘a pass in the basic law degree course’ irrespective of the percentage of marks he has scored in his graduation. While there is a minimum age qualification to join a particular course, there is no maximum age limit to pursue your studies on a distance mode. Even an octogenarian who still have some knowledge thirst left within him or her can fulfill her desire only through a distance mode of education.

3)In distance mode of education, they offer variety of educational programmes than the regular colleges.

4)Regular attendance to colleges is not necessary in a distance education programme.

5)If a person is unable to complete his particular course of study due to his family circumstances, distance education programmes offer a remedy of pursuing and completing the same course.

6)Persons who have a particular liking for an educational institution, say for Delhi University or Madras University but they are residing in a remote corner of the country far away from the concerned institution, still there is no problem at all. Various universities situated in different parts of a country have their own study centers in various parts of the country, to help and co-ordinate the educational activities of distance learners. Candidates can avail the help of these study centers to fulfill their wishes.

7)Employees can increase their prospects of promotional avenues only by pursuing distance education programmes, without losing their job and salary.

However, distance education has got its own demerits also.

Cons:-

1) Professional courses like Law,(Practiceable), engineering and medicine etc are not available in distance education programme.

2)Enforcement of discipline is a must in an educational institution, which is not available in a distance learning programme.

3)There is no systematic method of learning involved in a distance education. For example regular colleges are following semester pattern covering a period of say 6 months within which a specific number of papers should be read and then write the examination on those papers. Again, in a regular college, the students are submitting periodic assignments, taking regular weekly and monthly and even model tests, before appearing in the concerned semester examination. Whereas, in a distance education mode, the student being the master as well, there is no scope for systematic learning, discipline and in the result mostly default in learning occurs.

4)In a distance mode, there is no scope for getting your doubts cleared then and there from the faculty members. Therefore personal contact with the faculty members becomes a casualty.

5)In a distance mode education, library and reference books are not available to consult them then and there or immediately.

6)The seminars held in a distance learning programme only for three or four days will in no way be helpful to a student, since they offer only an outline of the course study. Such seminars are actually rushed through offering little help to the distant learners.

7) Employment opportunities are not available in plenty for those who pursue distance education programmes. Employers always prefer graduates who complete their degree courses in a regular college.

Despite of having many drawbacks, the distance education programme is the only panacea to many of us, who want to quench their thirst for education.
