 Click to enlarge LiveEd is a program of international exchange projects in education and the informal sector exploring social and cultural issues through creative arts. It aims to build capacity, explore local heritage, develop young ambassadors, leaders and international performance events leading up to the 2012 London Olympics and beyond.
LiveEd addresses action in collaboration and a shared vision for the power of partnership where all participants are equal beneficiaries. It offers opportunities for both public and private, business and community to be involved. Its aims and objectives are to raise self-esteem, social awareness, creativity, leadership, levels of education attainment, and professionalism for young artists and leaders through creative arts exchanges. It aims to build capacity through the development of resources, materials and young ambassadors in Newham, Namibia and other participating Countries and organisations. It uses new media technologies, such as podcasting and video streaming to facilitate the exchange of communication and ideas.
LiveEd addresses the need for opportunities to share experiences, skills, intelligences, cultures and beliefs with people from any where in the world in order to promote understanding, tolerance and respect, as well as raising attainment In the process. A wide range of performance materials will be created by young people working together, towards a series of international live events, leading up to LiveEd 2012 and beyond.
