The Opuwo Youth Group will be exploring themes of Friendship, Diversity and Tollerance through Dance from 07 to 13 May. Instructors will be Sisi (experienced South African Dance Leader and teacher) and Philippe Talavera (Contemporary Dance). Instructors will teach them 6 pieces. One piece by Sisi is exploring with friendship, one piece by Philippe exploring the effects of discrimination and the power of tolerance and one new creation by Sisi and Philippe will offer the young people a chance to explore issues about broken faith. By the end of the week, they are expected to create their own additional seventh piece. All dances will then be presented to schools and community members around Opuwo. They will finally form part of the annual tour that will take place in September 2006.
