Welcome to Solid Harmony Choir Website |
|
Solid Harmony is a young people's choir set up by Jane Wheeler, Nick
Bowers-Broadbent and Mo Mason in April 2002. It was designed to be an
alternative to Revelation Community Youth Gospel Choir,
but has become a force to be reckoned with. Based in Newham, East
London, it has over 30 members aged 9 -21 from schools and colleges
across the borough, with a strong senior membership taking part in NewVIc's
Activ8 program. The members of the choir take pride in singing all
kinds of music, from Gospel, R n' B and Rock, to Folk, World music and
Classical. It encourages members to write and compose for the choir and
has student support from Diân Gasper as Assistant Musical Director and Chrystal Lecointe as Assistant Web Editor. Solid Harmony was set up initially with Neighborhood Renewal Fund from Newham Council. For more information go to About us. |

Our very own Bukky, Stefan and Chioma performed at the Royal Opera House in the new Opera, 'The Last Genie'. They worked alongside two Alumni members, Joseph and Hoang as part of a fantastic cast of young performers!

Solid Harmony Sing GLORIA! |
Aaron, Ramina and Chanelle were brilliant and brave and came to sing Vivaldi's Gloria from scratch, accompanied by the baroque Orchestra, Spiritus, learning the whole work in one day - A wonderful achievement!
